Bulletproof Vehicle, SWAT Commandos, Marksman On Standby For Tahawwur Rana

The 26/11 attack accused Tahawwur Rana, who is being extradited to India from the US, will be taken to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Headquarters in a bulletproof vehicle. He will land at the Palam Technical Airport from where he will be transported to the NIA headquarters.
According to sources, in addition to the bulletproof vehicle, a ‘Marksman’ vehicle has also been kept on standby. The Marksman vehicle is a highly secure vehicle that is resistant to any form of attack. It is commonly used by the Special Cell to transport high-risk individuals such as terrorists and gangsters, to courts and agency offices.
The Delhi Police Special Cell has been placed on alert and SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) commandos have already been deployed at the airport.
Rana, a Canadian national of Pakistani origin, is being brought to India on a special flight on Thursday after his final attempt to evade extradition failed as the US Supreme Court justices rejected his application.
Ahead of his arrival in India, a Delhi court has received the trial records of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks from the US, news agency PTI reported citing a court source.
