‘Hindu-Muslim Brothers Don’t Fall Into Communal Trap To Be Started By BJP’: T’gana CM Revanth
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy urged Hindu and Muslim communities to resist falling into BJP’s communal rhetoric. Emphasising for unity and peace, Revanth called for action against an MP Navneet Rana’s provocative remarks and urged BJP leaders to expel her for threatening millions of lives if they don’t support her views.
On the last leg of the campaign ahead of Lok Sabha polls in Jana Jathara Sabha at Saroornagar, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Thursday said, “God should be in the temple, devotion should be in the heart. Today, I appeal to my Hindu brothers and Muslim brothers not to fall into the communal fight trap that is about to be started by the BJP.”
“We are all brothers. Let us all save our state. It is our responsibility to protect the peace and security of our state,” he said.
On BJP leader Navneet Rana’s statement in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy said, “The Election Commission should book a criminal case against the MP who had made provocative comments and arrest her… I would ask Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi, BJP leader has stated that if given 15 seconds, she will see the end of crores of people in the country… If you don’t support it, then expel her from your party immediately.”
On Thursday, recalling AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi’s 2012 speech in Nirmal, Telangana, where he suggested his community could demonstrate their power if police were absent for 15 minutes, MP Navneet Rana responded, “Akbaruddin mentioned removing police for 15 minutes to show their capabilities… I say, it might take you 15 minutes, but it’ll only take us 15 seconds.”
